Hydrate –

Its best to be hydrated before your treatment. Drink water or non-sugary sports drink or coconut water. Wait at least a couple hours after eating. Don’t drink to much as you don’t want to have to go to the bathroom half way through your session.

What to Wear

Our rooms are private with a locked door so you can feel free to wear as little as you like. There will be a towel provided for you to sit on so you can wear a bathing suit, loose fitting clothes or your birthday suit! It’s totally up to you!

What’s in the Room

In each sauna room you will find: backrests, towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, remote to control colored lights inside sauna, tablet for Netflix and Spotify, cups for water and a on demand Reverse Osmosis, UV filtered water cooler with a remineralizer.

DURING IR SAUNA

One of the main benefits of Markham infrared saunas is that you can experience the benefits of sweating without the extreme heat.

When you enter the sauna, towels will be placed on the seat to absorb perspiration during your session. The infrared rays will penetrate clothing and towels. Listen to your body and don’t overdo it.

If you’re new to using an Infrared Sauna, keep in mind that you typically don’t start sweating until 10-15 minutes into the session.

If you start to feel uncomfortable for any reason like feeling faint or claustrophobic, cut the session short or open the sauna door for a bit.

The more you use the sauna you will get used to the experience and you will be able to tolerate longer sessions. While in the sauna you can experiment with stretching your arms, legs, neck, back area, etc. The sauna will help you to achieve increased body flexibility, range of motion, and reduce chronic stiffness and problem areas.

The sauna is equipped with a tablet and speakers to allow you to watch Netflix, listen to music or meditate during your session.  We’ve even installed transducers (speakers) inside the bench so you can feel the vibrations of the music.  This can be used for Acoustic Resonance Therapy (ART), click here for more information.

AFTER IR SAUNA

We have a private shower located in the room, so if you’re not going straight into a float feel free to take a shower and remove any excess toxins form the surface of your skin. We recommend a cold shower that will help close up your pores quickly and leave your skin feeling incredibly and naturally smooth. (there are many other additional benefits to the cold shower as well)

You might feel the need to relax before getting back to your day. A sauna is relaxing, so why not savor the invigorating relaxation for a while!
